Job Description

Sterling Engineering is currently working with a large, global manufacturing company in the South Chicagoland suburbs on bringing in a Plant Controller to oversee manufacturing accounting operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manages monthly financial close process, ensuring compliance of all financial regulatory pronouncements
  • Drives annual audit and quarterly review process in partnership with external auditors
  • Leads AP and AR teams
  • Implements accounting policies & procedures
  • Responsible for approval of journal entries while ensuring proper accounting guidelines per GAAP and of financial statements
  • Leads balance sheet reviews, monthly close calls, and prepare & communicate month end financial reporting findings


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 5 - 7 years of related leadership experience
  • Cost/Inventory/Manufacturing related accounting a must
  • Experience with an ERP system
