Payroll Specialist
Job Description
Location: Irving Area (HYBRID)
Duration: 3-6 Month Contract
Benefits: Vision, Medical, Dental
Pay: $28-32/hr
- Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll for employees in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, deductions, and garnishments
- Maintain payroll records and update employee information as needed
- Assist with payroll tax reporting, including filing and reconciliation of payroll taxes
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits deductions, and tax withholdings
- Work closely with HR and finance teams to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance
- Handle payroll audits and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Support year-end payroll processes, including W-2 distribution
- Stay up to date with changes in payroll laws and regulations
- 2+ years of payroll processing experience
- Proficiency with payroll software (ADP, Workday, or similar preferred)
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll laws
- High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with multi-state payroll is a plus
