Job Posting: Panel Wirer
Pay Range: $22-$27 per hour depending on experience.
We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Panel Wirer to join our team. As a Panel Wirer, you will be responsible for utilizing bill of materials (BOM) and drawings to gather necessary components and supplies, reading and understanding electrical schematics and mechanical layouts, affixing terminals and wiring to panels, and ensuring compliance with customer-specific requirements. Responsibilities:
- Utilize BOM and drawings to identify and gather necessary components and supplies to complete wiring projects.
- Read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical layouts to accurately wire panels.
- Possess a good understanding of electrical components and their functions.
- Affix terminals and wiring to panels as directed by drawings, schematics, and customer-specific requirements.
- Select appropriate wire gauges based on drawings and project specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, wire cutters, strippers, and other equipment effectively and safely.
- Use computers to create wire, terminal, and component tags and affix them as directed by drawings.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the wiring process.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any wiring issues or discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper storage and handling of components and tools.
- Follow established procedures and work instructions to maintain consistency and efficiency in panel wiring.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training in electrical wiring is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Panel Wirer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, mechanical layouts, and electrical components.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings and BOMs.
- Familiarity with wire gauges, terminations, and wiring techniques.
- Ability to use hand tools, wire cutters, strippers, and other equipment effectively.
- Computer literacy with the ability to create wire, terminal, and component tags.
- Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
