Job Summary:
Seeking a Packaging Equipment Engineer with pharmaceutical experience to lead packaging equipment projects, optimize processes, and support new product launches. This hands-on role requires strong technical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and familiarity with FDA/GMP standards.
 
Job Duties:
  • Lead packaging equipment projects from planning through execution.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and reduce downtime.
  • Develop User Requirement Specifications (URS) and manage vendor bids.
  • Perform debugging and FAT testing for packaging equipment.
  • Support thermal forming and various packaging formats (e.g., bottles, cartons, capsules).
  • Drive continuous improvement and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, QA, and R&D.
  • Act as the technical subject matter expert (SME) for packaging systems.
  • Travel occasionally to Ohio and Texas to support equipment installs and troubleshooting.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Packaging, or related Engineering field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical packaging equipment.
  • Proficient in CAD and knowledgeable in GMP/FDA regulations.
  • Skilled in URS development, troubleshooting equipment, and cross-functional teamwork.
  • Background in thermal forming and pharmaceutical packaging formats is preferred.
