Job Summary: The Packaging Engineer will work in-house to develop various packaging concepts in coordination with finished products and materials used and ensure compatibility of packaging with the manufacturing unit. Create and develop effective designs to be functional, cost-effective, and fits a project’s cost target
Job Duties:
- Develops protocols for the execution of studies to evaluate the performance of packaging components, container/closure integrity, and shipping studies.
- Lead packaging validation activities by ensuring regulatory compliance with 21CFR, parts 201, 210, and 211.
- Lead impact assessment for owned brands for incoming material testing procedures to determine if additional testing is required or implement new improved test methods for releasing packaging components.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Packaging Engineering, or closely related discipline, or equivalent technical experience plus demonstrated competence
- 1+ years of designing packaging.
- Familiar with manufacturing methods, set up operations, lot sizing, standard times, actual comparisons, and time studies.
