Position: Continuous Improvement Analyst (Manufacturing – Data & Reporting Focus)
Location: Waukegan, IL 60087 onsite daily
Duration: 12–24+ months – potentially contract to hire

Hourly rate $50.00 -$70.00 per hour
 
I am looking for a highly analytical and process-driven Continuous Improvement Operations Analyst to join the Operational Excellence team at a leading manufacturing facility. This role bridges operations and data analytics, supporting key continuous improvement initiatives and providing actionable insights through data visualization and reporting for executive leadership.
 
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with Lean Six Sigma certification, experience working in manufacturing operations, and a strong ability to turn raw operational data into impactful dashboards and reports.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze operational data across manufacturing processes, quality, throughput, and downtime.
  • Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Design and deliver clear, high-impact dashboards and visualizations for senior leadership and C-level executives.
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and quality teams to identify inefficiencies and recommend data-driven solutions.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and create reporting tools to measure performance against benchmarks.
  • Maintain, organize, and improve data infrastructure for ongoing Operational Excellence efforts.
  • Present findings in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Operations, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification required.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or operations-focused data analysis.
  • Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Proficient in Excel, SQL, and statistical analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing KPIs, production systems, and continuous improvement concepts.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with ERP or MES systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Exposure to project management tools or methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
