Title: Chemical Production Supervisor
Location: Romeoville, IL
Shift: 1st and 2nd Shift
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $75,000–$90,000/year with OT compensation

The Chemical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the critical stages of compounding—the process of blending various ingredients to create a final product—and finishing, which involves the final touches to ensure the product meets both quality standards and specifications. Being at the center of production and quality control, the Chemical Supervisor ensures that every batch adheres to rigorous compliance requirements, thus playing a vital role in maintaining the integrity and efficacy of the end products.

Job Duties:
  • Manage and direct activities of the assigned shift, ensuring product adheres to safety, quality, and throughput standards.
  • Analyze production schedules prior to shift start and adjust team member assignments to meet production targets.
  • Coach and develop team members, make employment decisions, and resolve issues through conflict resolution.
  • Inspect raw materials prior to changeovers to ensure correct inventories for production runs.
  • Conduct walkthroughs throughout the shift to ensure safety, quality, and housekeeping compliance.
  • Develop and implement measures to improve chemical processes, production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
  • Monitor and review assigned team members' time and attendance for accuracy.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in field or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Preferred 6+ years of experience in field or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Education: A background in manufacturing required.
  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
