Calibration Technician
Job Description
- Perform routine and non-routine calibration of analytical laboratory equipment per SOPs, manufacturer instructions, and regulatory requirements.
- Document calibration results and maintain equipment logs and calibration records in accordance with quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and assist with minor repairs or coordinate service when necessary.
- Partner with lab staff, quality assurance, and metrology teams to ensure timely calibration and equipment readiness.
- Support audits and inspections by providing accurate records and instrument history.
- Maintain calibration standards, tools, and inventory in good working order.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of calibration processes and equipment reliability.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field preferred (or equivalent technical training)
- 2+ years of calibration experience in a regulated laboratory environment (pharma, biotech, med device preferred)
- Working knowledge of GMP, GLP, and ISO standards
- Familiarity with documentation practices and calibration software/systems (e.g., CMMS)
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
