Shift: 12 hr. Night Shifts I 2-3-2 I 7PM- 7AM
Location: Peachtree City, GA
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Salary:$27-$30/hr.

Sterling Engineering is looking for a Maintenance Technician to support 12-hour night shift operations in a high-speed manufacturing environment. This role requires strong technical skills, including mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, equipment operation, and changeover support, with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Job Duties:
  • Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes and OSHA safety requirements for facility and production equipment
  • Perform mechanical and electrical support for routine and preventive maintenance activities
  • Support shift maintenance team in troubleshooting production machinery
  • Provide technical assistance on PLC programming, variable speed drives, pneumatic and mechanical systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment and systems
  • Contribute to preventive and predictive maintenance efforts to improve equipment reliability
  • Make electrical connections and interpret schematics for troubleshooting
  • Address issues with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  • Perform inspections and routine upkeep of machines
  • Conduct quality checks and support manufacturing lines for optimal efficiency
  • Lead or assist in production changeovers and ensure proper documentation is completed
  • Issue materials and accurately complete production order transactions
  • Support implementation of new technologies and continuous improvement projects
  • Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols
  • Report food/product safety problems or risks immediately
  • Additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to work safely and follow company policies
  • Detail-oriented with strong reporting accuracy
  • Strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude with strong leadership and communication skills
  • Technical or mechanical skills required
  • Basic electrical and mechanical alignment skills
  • Experience with pneumatic and vacuum technologies
  • Familiarity with automation systems a plus
  • Ability to use measuring and leveling tools
