Job Title: Processing Supervisor – 1st shift 

Location: Goodyear, AZ 

Must have liquid processing experience to be considered

 This position oversees all personnel and equipment within the Processing Department. The primary activities include time and attendance administration, equipment troubleshooting, operational program execution and development, achieving and tracking production goals, facility safety and quality awareness, and material and inventory tracking. The Processing Supervisor is a key leader on the site, contributing to the creation of a modern culture during the assigned shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train operators in the daily operation of processing equipment, including Membranes, Separators, UHT, HTST, Batching equipment, and ancillary equipment for operations and cleaning.
  • Manage production lines through all aspects of the schedule: production, sanitation, and production changeovers.
  • Ensure the facility is Audit Ready, maintaining cleanliness of floors and drains, recording charts, and checking state seals on equipment. Report any issues to management.
  • Communicate necessary changes or run conditions to other departments and report problems to the Packaging Manager. Follow further instructions from management.
  • Check tanks and equipment to ensure proper CIP (Clean in Place) procedures are followed.
  • Ensure packaging equipment is well-maintained by collaborating with the maintenance department. Monitor and ensure execution of PMs (Preventive Maintenance) and work orders.
  • Maintain inventory of assigned items and take daily inventory of consumable supplies.
  • Take responsibility for department performance during the shift.
  • Manage violations of company policies, procedures, and working rules through 1 on 1 coaching or reporting to the appropriate manager.
  • Follow all safety and working rules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Must be able to read and interpret equipment drawings and P&ID’s, specifically for fluid processing and packaging equipment.

Skills/Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline is preferred, or six years of experience in a leadership role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Previous wet (liquid) processing experience  
  • Travel Requirements: 5-10% annually, with increased travel expected during the training/onboarding period.

Food Safety Requirements:

  • Notify supervision of any repairs or adjustments required that may affect product quality or food safety.
  • Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy in Production Areas.
  • Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, Customer, and/or Government requirements/standards prioritized by the Company.
  • Ability to initiate action to prevent nonconformities relating to Food Safety and product Quality.
  • Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and Quality.
  • Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product until deficiencies or unsatisfactory conditions are corrected.
  • In case of absence, another employee with the same skill level will assume duties and responsibilities as required.
