Job Summary:
The Processing Supervisor oversees all personnel and equipment within the Processing Department during the scheduled shift, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to safety and quality standards. This role involves supervision, training, and troubleshooting of processing equipment while fostering a progressive culture within the team.
Job Duties:
- Supervise and train operators, ensuring the efficient operation of processing equipment, including Membranes, Separators, UHT, HTST, and Batching equipment
- Manage production lines, overseeing production, sanitation, and changeovers
- Maintain a consistently audit-ready environment by ensuring proper cleaning, equipment condition, and adherence to safety standards
- Communicate necessary changes or issues to relevant departments and management
- Ensure proper CIP of tanks and equipment, and coordinate closely with maintenance for equipment upkeep
- Manage inventory of supplies and conduct daily inventory checks to maintain sufficient quantities
- Oversee department performance during the shift and address any policy violations through coaching or reporting
- Adhere to all safety protocols and operational guidelines
- Read and interpret equipment drawings and P&IDs related to fluid processing and packaging equipment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline preferred or six years of leadership experience
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and handle ambiguity efficiently.
