Salary: $95k - $115k + bonus, + excellent benefits

Summary:
Sterling Engineering's direct client in Riverside, CA is seeking an Operations Manager on a full-time, direct hire basis for a global chemical manufacturer. Looking for safety conscious & adaptable Operations Manger with experience in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing that can drive safety & growth. 

Job Duties:
  • Responsible for leading  & managing production managers in addition to serving as a support system and mentor
  • Accountable for production schedules, quality maintenance, and cost control.
  • Develop and execute plant manufacturing budgets with precision. Handles P&L responsibilities 
  • Analyze and plan for production workforce requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement through Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Implement operational policies and procedures for optimal efficiency.
  • Safeguard the effective and safe use of manufacturing equipment.
  • Monitor and enhance quality and productivity to meet service and cost objectives.
  • Responsible for employee training, development, and performance management.
  • Participate in and lead teams through Continuous Improvement Projects.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Experience in a leadership capacity managing others in management/leadership
  • Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, etc.)
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or distribution operations environment
