Location: Batavia, IL

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer to support the Design/Drafting Group. This position will create detailed mechanical designs and drawings using NX1980 and Teamcenter, while working closely with engineering teams on design development and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Create advanced 3D CAD models and 2D mechanical drawings using NX1980.
- Apply GD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5 standards.
- Perform tolerance and stack-up calculations, layouts, detailing, and design development.
- Research and evaluate design solutions, components, and materials.
- Work closely with engineers to support project schedules and deliverables.
- Manage 3D models and 2D drawings through Teamcenter.
- Deliver accurate, high-quality work within deadline-driven projects.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience using NX with Teamcenter.
- 5+ years of recent Mechanical Designer experience.
- Strong proficiency with NX1980 CAD.
- Advanced 3D modeling and 2D drawing experience.
- Strong knowledge and application of GD&T.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.
- Must be able to successfully demonstrate NX1980 proficiency during the interview process.
