Job Description
Overview:
Seeking NPI Manufacturing Engineers to support new product builds for a major client. The role includes travel to observe overseas setups and replicate line builds domestically.
- Contract to hire (benefits offered)
- 1st shift Monday - Friday
- Location: West Columbia, SC
- Travel to Ireland for about 3 weeks (40-60 hr work weeks)
Responsibilities:
Support and improve manufacturing line layouts and process flows
Analyze and enhance existing product designs for manufacturability
Travel internationally to observe production setup and apply findings locally
Interpret and manage BOMs (lists of parts and materials needed for builds) and tooling
Create and refine production processes
Use CAD for process and layout planning
Collaborate with internal teams to fill technical gaps and meet tight timelines
Handle multiple incoming NPI projects under pressure
Qualifications:
1–5 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering
Proficient in CAD software
Strong understanding of process development, tooling, and BOMs
Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
Willingness to travel internationally for initial training/setup
