Responsibilities:

• The Shop Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a metal manufacturing shop. 
• This position reports to the Plant Manager and will work closely with other members of the production team.
• Manage the production schedule to ensure timely completion of customer orders.
• Supervise and provide leadership to a team of machine operators and production personnel.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures, and promote a safe work environment.
• Maintain equipment and machinery to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
• Collaborate with the production planning team to ensure optimal utilization of resources.
• Monitor and control shop expenses, including labor and supplies, to meet budget targets.
• Develop and maintain performance metrics and KPIs to track shop efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required, technical degree or certificate preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in metal manufacturing operations, including 1+ years in a supervisory or management role.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication processes, including cutting, forming, welding, and machining.
