Location: Newark, CA, 94560
Shift & Hours: 1st Shift (6am to 2:30pm)            
Pay:  $34.32 - $36.92

Job Description:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for complex technical repairs and preventive maintenance of Bakery equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and computerized systems. Your primary goal will be to minimize downtime by troubleshooting issues, performing repairs, and maintaining equipment records in our computerized maintenance system.

Responsibilities:
  • Execute and prioritize verbal assignments from production and maintenance management.
  • Complete work orders as assigned, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Follow the daily Facilities checklist and complete tasks as required.
  • Inspect the water boiler daily, including checking the chemical tank, releasing pressure, and monitoring salt levels. Make necessary adjustments to the boiler.
  • Assist mechanics in maintaining and troubleshooting equipment.
  • Conduct daily facility walk-thru inspections, resolving any issues immediately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the maintenance shop and yard.
  • Perform maintenance duties at the Rialto warehouse as needed.
  • Undertake special projects as assigned by management.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with team members and departments.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in maintenance or a manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • GMP/HACCP Certification (in-house).
  • Certified in sit-down & stand-up forklift operation, as well as boom/scissor lifts.
