Job Summary:
The Process Engineer – Automated Manufacturing will report to the Systems and Projects Engineering Manager and will be responsible for overseeing process engineering capabilities, including new product development, automation, manufacturing process improvements, and internal engineering systems optimization. This role plays a critical part in ensuring robust, efficient, and scalable manufacturing processes.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring robust, efficient, and scalable manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and recommend suitable manufacturing processes, technologies, and techniques based on product and operational requirements.
- Define, evaluate, and optimize equipment and processes for product manufacturability.
- Establish robust, repeatable, and reproducible process parameters.
- Develop, implement, and maintain process control methodologies.
- Manage equipment vendor selection, justification, purchase, and commissioning of capital equipment.
- Lead root cause analysis of manufacturing process failures, individually or in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Participate actively in commissioning, validation, and production ramp-up, including problem-solving, coordination, and training.
- Implement equipment and process changes through Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
- Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues.
- Determine statistical process capability for new and existing products.
- Drive improvements in safety, throughput, and manufacturing techniques.
- Develop, review, and maintain process documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during new process implementation and technology transfer.
- Support training for production and engineering personnel during technology transfers.
- Provide equipment maintenance and repair support as needed.
- Lead cost improvement and reduction initiatives.
- Enhance internal engineering systems and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience and training).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an automated manufacturing environment, preferably in regulated industries such as medical devices, automotive, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, or aerospace/defense.
- Proficient in statistical methods, process capability studies, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Ability to develop a detailed understanding of processes and translate them into safe, efficient, and effective real-world operations.
- Excellent collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and teamwork skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement, with awareness of new technologies and best practices.
