Job Description

Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary Range: $85k - $95k (based on experience) 

Location: Rockford, IL 

Hire Type: Direct Hire

Job Duties:
  • Deliver high-quality custom and standard products that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Ensure designs comply with engineering standards while minimizing rework and production delays.
  • Address design and structural concerns proactively, ensuring durability and reliability in all products.
  • Provide seamless collaboration between Sales and Engineering to align customer requirements with technical feasibility.
  • Support efficient project execution by resolving design conflicts and production issues quickly.
  • Improve manufacturing processes by identifying and implementing solutions to design variances.
  • Prevent recurring design issues by enforcing strict review and correction processes.
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices and state-of-the-art engineering processes.
  • Guarantee that all products meet stringent safety and performance standards.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Enginering from accredited institution (BSME)
  • Minimally 2 years experience in a mechanical engineering position with exposure to designing and revising in Solidworks
