Job Duties:
  • Conduct structural assessments on cranes, machinery, tooling, and buildings intended for use in nuclear and industrial facility operations.
  • Confirm the structural integrity of structures supporting cranes.
  • Assess the fitness of equipment and buildings to withstand severe environmental conditions like earthquakes and tornadoes.
  • Make safety-driven determinations for engineered lifts that involve handling loads exceeding equipment capacity.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s in Structural, Mechanical or Civil Engineering. 
  • Must have a working knowledge of AISC/AWS standards.
  • Knowledge of MathCAD and Ansys.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Solidworks.
  • Experience with finite element analysis of large structures.
