Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for processing the critical engineering tasks necessary to complete an engineering project/job. This typically includes all necessary tasks to process a complete piece of equipment through engineering: project assessment (customer requirements), initial arrangement drawings for customer approval, concept design (customization, assembly drawings and general BOM creation), delegation, supervision and checking of drafting and documentation tasks to drafters and clerical personnel, submission of complete shop drawings and BOMs to a supervisor and when approved submit same to manufacturing, and support manufacturing during the production process.
Requirements:
BS in Mechanical Engineering
Experience designing capital equipment / large machinery is ideal
Experience with framing, pneumatics, hydraulics, drives, gearboxes, etc...
Should have at least 5 years experience in machine design
Strong AutoCAD and SolidWorks experience
