Mechanical Engineer

Automated machine manufacturer seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer / Machine Designer to help design and build custom automated machinery utilized in a variety of industries, including but not limited to: consumer products, medical/life sciences, automotive and light industrial. 

Responsibilities:

- Full system mechanical design of automated machines (including components and assemblies)

- Working within a collaborative team environment 

- Interfacing with project leaders and the customer

- Produce 2D drawings and BOMs for component procurement & manufacturing 

- Oversight and troubleshooting during machine assembly 

- Machine debug 

- Creation of machine documentation package (user manuals, set-up & maintenance procedure, etc.) 

Requirements:

- 3D CAD design experience (Solidworks preferred) 

- Mechanical detailing and checking 

- Attention to project schedule and project costs 

- Microsoft Office suite products 

- Excellent problem solving ability 

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills 

- Technical writing Other non-Required Skills a Bonus 

- Project management 

- Robotic systems design and integration 

- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent training and experience) 

- 5+ years of experience utilizing the skills listed above.
