Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
- Provide comprehensive technical support to sales teams, distributors, and customers, ensuring seamless product selection and quotation processes.
- Conduct mechanical engineering calculations, including bearing life, load analysis, critical speed, buckling loads, and linear motion kinematics, to specify components and motion systems accurately.
- Monitor and test new mechanical products developed at the global headquarters, including linear guideways, ball screws, cross roller bearings, and mechatronic systems (linear and rotary direct drive axes).
- Collaborate with customers to review product requirements, deliver training, and troubleshoot product design and functionality issues.
- Document project information meticulously, maintain engineering files, drawings, part numbers, bill of materials, 3D models, and 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Attend product review meetings and provide valuable feedback on product design and component selection.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of two years of mechanical engineering experience, including proficiency in 3D modeling and 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks, and designing to precision tolerances.
- Demonstrated ability to work with manufacturing operations, understanding manufacturing processes, CNC machine tools, and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM).
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and prioritize activities effectively.
- Relevant coursework and interest in motion control, automation, robotics, and mechatronics are highly desirable.
- Previous experience in linear motion, mechatronics, or robotics is a plus.
