Job Responsibilities:
- Define product requirements through stakeholder meetings
- Collaborate with engineers and CAD designers on various projects
- Lead concept development and ensure designs meet client needs
- Create detailed CAD drawings using AutoCAD Inventor and SolidWorks
- Develop designs focused on manufacturability, assembly, and reliability
- Build and test prototypes, analyzing results
- Troubleshoot and recommend solutions for manufacturing issues
- Manage change control processes
- Deliver project outputs and provide ongoing support
- Contribute to improving mechanical design processes and standards
- Mentor junior mechanical design team members
- Adhere to project timelines and milestones
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- 5+ years of engineering experience
- Experience in sheet metal fabrication
- Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD Inventor, Vault, and MS Office
- Experience with switchgear is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of UL standards (UL 891, UL 1558, UL 67, UL 857, UL 1008, UL 62368/60950) is preferred
- Experience in designing electrical power distribution systems is preferred
