Hire Type: Direct Hire - 75k-95k per year depending on experience.
Job Summary:
- The Mechanical Engineer’s primary function and role is to assist in the design and manufacture of machines from concept to production. Mechanical Engineers serve as a liaison between creative professionals across all disciplines, both internal and external.
Job Duties:
- The position of Mechanical Engineer ensures that all mechanical systems work safely and efficiently to gain alignment of goals and objectives related to projects.Essential functions
- Apply working knowledge of product design and assembly to the manufacturing process
- Design for Manufacture/Design for Assembly (DFM/DFA)
- Develop standardized design criteria across all product lines
- Create processes and procedures to help the company meet budgetary goals
- Create detailed drawing of parts, sub-assembly models, part models and detailed drawings
- Assist with the developing pertinent machine documentation such as operating manuals and assembly instructions
- Initiate purchase and/or manufacture of parts as needed
- Design and develop new products and product prototypes
- Create vendor/manufacturing specific drawings for internal and external requirements
- Manage multiple projects at one time
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental meetings to ensure collaboration and cohesion

Work Environment
The job is performed indoors in a traditional office setting with extended periods of sitting while using a computer.
While performing the duties of this job, employee has exposure to a manufacturing environment which includes moving cranes, fork-lift, and various metal machining centers. OSHA approved safety glasses and footwear must be worn at all times on the plant floor.

Position type and expected hours of work
This is a full-time position. Monday through Friday and can expect to work 40-45 hours per week. Occasional weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Willing to travel domestically/internationally and obtain all health requirements subject by both airlines and specific entrance/exit essential requisites per visited country (Countries).

Qualifications:
- Required education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field
- 3-10 years’ experience with a high level of mechanical aptitude and experience in automated electric/hydraulic/pneumatic mechanical machinery
- Must have solid working knowledge of Good Automated Manufacturing Practices (GAMP), production equipment, safety, and quality control standards
Preferred education and experience - Proficient with computer-assisted design CAD and SolidWorks 3D
- Knowledge of packaging equipment functionality and design
