Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
- Design and develop custom machine components and mechanical systems for packaging operations.
- Create and revise detailed 2D and 3D models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Perform engineering calculations and simulations to ensure performance, durability, and safety of mechanical components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, and quality to troubleshoot issues and improve equipment reliability.
- Manage engineering documentation including BOMs, drawings, and specifications.
- Support the installation and commissioning of new machinery and systems.
- Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on design enhancements and cost-saving opportunities.
- Stay current with industry trends and new technologies to drive innovation within the facility.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD is required.
- Strong understanding of machine design, mechanical systems, and component selection.
