Title: Design Engineer 
Location: Wood Dale, IL 
Hire Type: Direct Hire

Salary: $65,000

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Design Band heaters based on the customer’s requirements and/or drawings
  2. Create manufacturing drawings and release orders into production
  3. Program sheet metal parts and release them into manufacturing  
  4. Resolve production issues and challenges
  5. Maintain files and drawings of all designs to a company with ISO 9001:2015 requirements
  6. Provide technical support to customers and sales team
  7. Assist customers with new projects and calculations
  8. Evaluation of customer returns as required
  9. Research raw materials and Maintain drawings and specifications

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree required with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • 1+ years experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of 2D software and Microsoft Office required
  • Knowledge of Basic Electrical circuits required
  • Knowledge of sheet metal design required
  • Working knowledge of sheet metal programming preferred
  • 3-D Modeling experience using Solid Works software preferred
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and practices preferred
  • Ability to work under pressure in challenging projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem-solving ability and project management skills
  • Ability to maintain multiple projects at one time
