We are seeking experienced Mechanical Design Engineers (Levels III & IV) to join a dynamic engineering team at a leading manufacturing company. The ideal candidates will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of mechanical devices, contributing to both new and existing projects. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to make a significant impact on innovative designs and manufacturing processes.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and develop mechanical designs for new and custom projects, ensuring they meet safety, budget, and functional requirements.
  • Analyze technical documents, data, and specifications to determine the best design approach.
  • Conduct research and make recommendations based on performance, appearance, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize designs for similar products to improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Create product designs, drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and assembly drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Perform necessary technical calculations and testing to ensure designs are functional, reliable, and meet all requirements.
  • Estimate time, cost, labor, and material requirements for design projects and adjust plans as necessary based on changes.
  • Continuously improve mechanical designs throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Maintain consistency across drawing sets and collaborate with team members to resolve issues or refine designs.
  • Track and report on project progress, budget, and any deviations to management.
  • Provide guidance and support to production teams and other departments regarding product requirements, manufacturing processes, and certifications.
  • or participate in training sessions for junior engineers and mentor team members.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other engineering-related documents.
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
  • 4-6 years minimally required
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks for mechanical design and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Familiarity with metal machining and fabrication methods (lathes, mills, welding, waterjet, etc.).
