Job Description
Title: Mechanical Design Engineer (Entry Level)
Location: Itasca, IL
Target Starting Pay: $26-$32/hour ($55k-$65k/year)
Hire Type: CONTRACT-TO-HIRE

Job Summary:
Create detailed, 3D designs of high-speed automated machinery using SolidWorks.
Job Duties:
- Collaborate with design team, project managers, and applications teams to flesh out conceptual designs into exact designs
- Work with manufacturing and engineering departments to ensure designs are the most efficient for manufacturing
- Work with electrical teams to ensure mechanical designs align with controls and power functions required
Qualifications:
- Recent Completed Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Strong 3D CAD skills, SolidWorks experience preferred
- Internship or 1-2 years of experience in automation, robotics, conveyor, or packaging equipment
- Basic understanding of industrial automation machinery, preferably having had classes on mechatronics or related fields.
