Technical Customer Service Representative
Job Description
- Perform technical evaluation, documentation, and drawings which will support the Aftermarket Sales Efforts
- Provide mechanical design support to augment or update existing drawing files and parts lists
- Work closely with the Aftermarket Team to determine the accuracy and viability of customer order requests confirming that the ‘latest and greatest’ iterations are provided
- Direct contact with our customer base, helping determine the unique Aftermarket needs of those customers
- Receive drawing requests from Customers and Internal MSP Departments
- Determine the correct components and sub-assemblies for a specific Customer Site
- Aid in itemizing required components and sub-assemblies for estimating and purchasing
- Aid Parts Receiving Group and Quality Control effort on small Parts/Assembly orders
- Receive and review Mechanical Parts Lists from the Engineering Department
- Create or Confirm ‘Initial Parts Offering’ pricing for Customers from Engineering Lists
- Forward reviewed Parts Lists on to the Project Management Group or the Customer as appropriate
- 3+ years’ experience in customer technical service
- Some knowledge of mechanical parts and manufacturing methods
- AutoCAD and Inventor design software to modify existing drawings
- Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawings
- Should have knowledge of manufacturing processes (Weldments/Fabrications, Machining/Turning, Surface Treatments/Chrome Plating)
