Title: Mechanical Assembler
Location: Batavia, IL
Hire Type: Year long contract with full benefits!
Pay: $25/hr.-$29/hr.

This role involves mechanical assembly and disassembly work under the direction of engineers, scientists, and senior technicians, performing tasks requiring varying levels of precision.

Job Duties:
  • Perform assembly and disassembly work using hand tools and mechanical equipment
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and follow detailed assembly procedures
  • Accurately document completed tasks and enter data into tracking systems using MS Word and Excel
  • Support precision mechanical operations and assist engineers and senior technicians as needed
  • Perform grinding, cutting, soldering, and handling of materials as required
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures while maintaining a clean work area
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical assembly or fabrication environments
  • Ability to use hand tools and perform work with attention to detail
  • Comfortable reading blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings
  • Basic computer skills including MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform physical tasks as required
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime or respond to operational needs on short notice
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform repetitive lifting
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders and stand for extended periods (up to 4 hours per day)
