Job Summary:
  • We are seeking an experienced Material Planner to join our team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of material planning experience specifically within the food industry, with a strong background in purchasing bulk raw ingredients (including dairy and spices) and packaging materials (plastic and paper). This is an on-site, day-shift position that plays a critical role in ensuring efficient production and inventory control.

Job Duties:
  • Plan, forecast, and manage inventory levels for raw materials and packaging to meet production schedules.
  • Source and purchase bulk ingredients and packaging materials in compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) ERP to manage procurement, inventory, and vendor data.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing.
  • Analyze trends and historical data to optimize planning processes and reduce waste.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of material planning or procurement experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of raw food ingredients (e.g., dairy, spices) and packaging materials.
  • Proficiency in D365 ERP or similar enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and hands-on work environment.
