Materials Manager
Job Description
- Plan and order materials to support production across assigned locations and inventory cribs
- Review inventory levels and planned demand to create purchase orders as needed
- Communicate regularly with customers to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time
- Oversee the inventory cycle count program, including coordinating monthly counts and reviewing results
- Analyze inventory and demand reports to support 12-month production forecasts and ensure system accuracy
- Partner with Engineering on packaging improvements, drawings, and other project initiatives
- Provide backup support for indirect purchasing, including shop floor supply orders.
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate team members
- Assist with and participate in physical inventory activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered
- Two or more years of inventory control, inventory management, or related experience
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Experience with forecasting, inventory planning, and budgeting
- Manufacturing experience required
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
