Job Summary:
- The Manufacturing Systems Software Engineer will be responsible for developing, supporting, and troubleshooting custom and off-the-shelf manufacturing applications. This will include but is not limited to manufacturing supervisory/SCADA systems, shop floor device network connectivity, custom manufacturing shop floor applications, reporting or visualization tools, such as “dashboards,” and statistical process control tools (SPC).
Job Duties:
- Work to create a Group standard for the Manufacturing System
- Design and create custom business applications to collect, analyze and report data critical to plant operations.
- Execute other Information Systems responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to multitask and work well independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to generate research ideas.
- Develop applications.
- Test, analyze, and resolve technical issues while writing new code or revising code to drive business results.
- Document & test software applications
- Assess business requirements to generate application ideas.
- Work with the team on design and architecture tasks
- Work with other software engineers to meet deliverables.
- Analyze data and understand the relationships and correlations.
- Solid, comprehensive problem-solving skills
- Troubleshooting skills
- Experience with Oracle and SQL Server, including writing SQL queries and stored procedures in Oracle or SQL Server.
- Experience with SCADA, MES, IoB application
- Knowledge of Ignition by Inductive Automation is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of ETL tool a plus, but not required
