Location: Itasca, IL
Employment Type: Contract to Hire or Direct Hire
Pay Range: $30-$38 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Shift: First Shift
We are a dynamic and growing company specializing in the design and manufacturing of custom enclosures. As part of our expansion plans, we are seeking a talented Fabrication Supervisor to lead our Enclosures Division. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in assembly and manufacturing supervision, particularly in custom trailers, custom motorhomes, or similar environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead a team of 3 individuals (expected to grow to 5) in the assembly and manufacturing of custom enclosures.
Utilize strong project management skills to coordinate contractors, manage schedules, and optimize workloads to ensure timely project delivery.
Collaborate with engineering, vendors, and clients to meet project requirements and exceed customer expectations.
Work closely with a variety of vendors, demonstrating effective management skills in coordinating schedules and work assignments.
Oversee the fabrication process, with a preference for candidates from a welding shop or custom fabrication shop background.
Demonstrate flexibility by working overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.
Proven experience in assembly and manufacturing supervision, preferably in custom trailers, custom motorhomes, or related fields.
Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate contractors and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with engineering, vendors, and clients.
Previous experience in a fabrication environment, such as a welding shop or custom fabrication shop.
Demonstrated ability to manage and grow a team, with a current team of 3 individuals expected to expand to 5.
Flexibility to work overtime as required to meet project deadlines.
