Manufacturing Lead
Job Description
- Act as the first point of escalation for team of assemblers on the manufacturing floor.
- Monitor and support the entire assembly process, quickly identifying and diagnosing issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with Quality, Test, and Materials departments to investigate and resolve production issues.
- Initiate corrective actions when assembly-related problems occur.
- Train and mentor assemblers, ensuring adherence to processes and quality standards.
- Provide performance-related feedback to Assembly Supervisors as needed.
- Partner closely with engineering and production management teams to ensure alignment on technical and operational objectives.
- Maintain open and effective communication across departments and shifts.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant manufacturing experience with an Associate’s degree in a technical discipline OR 5+ years of relevant hands-on manufacturing experience
- Deep understanding of assembly line processes and issue troubleshooting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be comfortable leading discussions on the floor and working across departments.
- Experience in a high-mix, low-volume or high-volume production environment is a plus.
- Prior experience in roles such as Junior Manufacturing Engineer, Industrial Engineering Tech, Assembly/Production Lead, or Cell Leader is highly preferred.
