Job Description
Location: West Columbia, SC
Hire Type: Contract to Hire
Shift: 1st Shift
Pay Range: $35/hr - $42/hr depending on experience

- Design manufacturing processes that meet schedule, cost, and quality goals.
- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods to enhance throughput and reduce waste.
- Analyze workflow, space utilization, and labor requirements to design efficient workstations and production layouts.
- Collaborate with production teams on product design and tooling needs to ensure manufacturability and process efficiency.
- Interface with customers to review product specifications, manage design changes, and respond to engineering requests.
- Estimate production times, staffing needs, and associated costs to support business planning and decision-making.
- Work closely with engineering, management, and production teams to align capabilities with production schedules and operational goals.
- Apply statistical methods to predict manufacturing requirements, analyze performance, and support process optimization.
- Engineering degree in a related field or equivalent technical experience/training required.
- Experience requirements vary by level (entry to senior):
- Entry Level: 0–3 years
- Mid Level: 3–8 years
- Senior Level: 8–10+ years
- Proficiency with CAD tools and interpreting technical drawings.
- Experience with testing tools such as oscilloscopes, harness testers, or logic analyzers is beneficial.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills; ability to diagnose and resolve production issues.
- Familiarity with automation tools, PLC programming, or robotics is a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering and production teams.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and make sound technical decisions.
