Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide management, oversight, and technical expertise for all Engineering and New Product Introduction (NPI) molding projects and activities, and tooling. This involves supporting development timelines, molding process improvements, and validation activities, and serving as the molding subject matter expert.
KEY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Promote Safety First in all Molding areas, equipment, processes, and procedures.
• Support Quote Manager (Cost and NRE Input for all Tooling Related Quotes).
• Tooling (Mold) Design Support.
• Tooling Vendor Support.
• Mold Equipment Vendor Support.
• Support and oversee Molding Process Development, Validation, and Optimization.
• Support Molding Related Cost Improvement Projects (CIP).
• Resource for Molding Process Transfers to other facilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Four-year degree in a technical field (or equivalent) preferred.
• Ten years of molding experience in the Medical Device Industry preferred.
• Master Molder 1 Certification preferred.
• Excellent written communication and computer skills.
• Sound understanding of molding process validation and associated theory / tools.
• Sound understanding mold tooling Design for Manufacture (DFM).
