Continuous Improvement Engineer
Job Description
- Designs and optimizes manufacturing layouts, equipment placement, and workflow processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance ergonomics in production environments.
- Analyzes production methods, estimates costs, and evaluates the impact of design changes to maximize efficiency and minimize expenditures.
- Develops and implements strategies for continuous improvement by monitoring operations, identifying inefficiencies, and integrating new technologies.
- Establishes and enforces safety and quality control measures, ensuring compliance with industry standards while addressing production challenges.
- Conducts inventory analysis, prepares procurement orders, and oversees resource allocation to support seamless production operations.
- Creates and refines production processes, establishes labor utilization standards, and enhances facility usage to improve overall productivity.
- Works closely with management, vendors, and staff to coordinate production planning, problem resolution, and process enhancements.
- Manages process documentation, prepares reports, supports capital expenditures, and provides training to ensure smooth implementation of new procedures and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field; a master’s degree is a plus.
- 2 years of relevant engineering experience
- Ability to commute to Kenosha
