Sterling Engineering is hiring a Manufacturing & Quality Engineer for a growing, innovative manufacturer focused on delivering high-quality products through advanced processes and continuous improvement. This is a highly collaborative, cross-functional role where you’ll work at the intersection of design, manufacturing, and quality—playing a key role in bringing new products to life and optimizing production performance. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the key liaison between design engineering and manufacturing to ensure successful product launches
- Develop, evaluate, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost
- Implement and maintain ISO 9001-compliant processes, documentation, and quality systems
- Support internal and external audits while promoting a strong culture of quality and compliance
- Develop and maintain control plans, PFMEAs, and inspection criteria
- Establish and monitor SPC charts; analyze process data to identify trends and drive improvements
- Support Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, production engineering, or quality engineering roles
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and quality systems
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
- Some experience with SPC, data analysis, and process optimization
- Background in an assembly or especially an electrical assembly environment would be a help
