Job Description

Overview: 
We are looking for a skilled Manual Machinist to operate machinery and produce high-quality precision components at our client in Lake Forest. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a meticulous attention to detail.

Pay Rate: $25-35/hr (Depending on experience) 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate manual mills, and other machinery to fabricate precision parts.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Measure and inspect completed components to ensure they meet specifications using precision measuring tools.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure efficient operation.
  • Monitor the machining process, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize production processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all safety regulations and protocols.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Manual Machinist or in a similar role.
  • Proficient in operating manual machinery and using precision measuring tools.
  • Strong understanding of machining techniques and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
