Job Summary:
- Operating under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager, this role will undertake the building, assembling, installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, and facility improvements within the warehouse and labeling departments. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring adherence to safety regulations, maintaining a clean working environment, and supporting the facility's continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Duties:
- Assemble, install, maintain, and repair warehouse and labeling machinery, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturing practices.
- Proficiency in handling pneumatics, hydraulics, and electronic sensors, including reading blueprints and circuit diagrams.
- Conduct mechanical work, including repair and construction of material handling equipment and hydraulic systems.
- Perform maintenance wiring, installation of electrical components, and calibration of gauges and recording instruments.
- Troubleshoot equipment controlled by P.C. controllers and mechanical equipment sequencers.
- Execute lockout-tagout procedures and maintain effective communication with supervisors and team members.
- Flexibility in taking on additional duties during idle work periods or when required due to operational demands.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum five years of experience in mechanic work, preferably in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three years of prior experience as an industrial Maintenance Mechanic OR a 2-year Technical Degree in Maintenance field with at least 1 year of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic.
- Strong diagnostic troubleshooting skills and familiarity with repair and maintenance procedures.
- Proficiency in Multi-Craft Aptitude Test (Mechanical and Electrical).
- Forklift operating experience is a must.
