Job Summary: 
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing power generation equipment within a large manufacturing facility.

Job Duties:
  • Operate steam boilers and ancillary equipment according to local and state standards.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair steam boilers and ancillary equipment, including compressors, generators, and pumps.
  • Provide coverage as a Stationary Engineer when needed at the facility.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on steam boilers and ancillary equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and systems, including pneumatic and plumbing problems related to boilers.
  • Organize and maintain equipment, department spare parts inventory, and supplies inventories.
  • Maintain daily logs, equipment documentation, PM documentation, work orders, pass downs, and time sheets.
  • Assist plant maintenance as required.
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair all boiler and related equipment to reduce waste and maintain efficiency.
  • Perform other duties and jobs as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma; some college or certification preferred.
  • Licensed Stationary Engineer.
  • 5+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic for a large facility.
  • Attention to detail, flexibility, job knowledge, productivity.
  • Must be a self-starter and possess strong mechanical skills.
