Target Pay Rate: $34.00 - $37.00/hour + overtime + bonus
Work Schedule: 3:00pm - 12:00am (2nd shift), Mon-Fri, rotating weekends

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team at their food manufacturing facility in Addison, IL. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving industrial processing and packaging equipment to ensure safe and efficient production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical troubleshooting skills along with solid mechanical experience. This role will primarily focus on electrical maintenance (approximately 80%) while also requiring mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and fabrication skills. “Must Have” Skills:
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Strong industrial electrical troubleshooting skills
  • PLC troubleshooting experience
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment
  • Strong mechanical maintenance skills
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Experience replacing motors, gearboxes, sensors, and related components
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Strong safety mindset and ability to follow all safety procedures
 
Job Duties:
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical power systems and controls
  • Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled production equipment
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting on motors, sensors, controls, and related components
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical systems and processing equipment
  • Troubleshoot and maintain pneumatic, hydraulic, and vacuum systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance programs on production equipment
  • Install processing and packaging equipment as required
  • Read and interpret basic electrical schematics
  • Measure, cut, drill, and fabricate components using hand tools and machine shop equipment
  • Perform welding on stainless steel and carbon steel (MIG/TIG experience preferred)
  • Maintain food manufacturing GMP standards
  • Repair facility equipment and building structures as needed
  • Follow OSHA, EPA, Hazmat, USDA, FSIS, and company safety requirements
  • Complete maintenance documentation and work orders
  • Perform other duties as assigned
 
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong electrical background with industrial troubleshooting experience
  • Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment
  • Experience maintaining processing and packaging equipment
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and vacuum systems
  • Preventative maintenance experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve practical equipment problems
  • Ability to interpret written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Ability to work in a cold, loud, and wet manufacturing environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding work, including frequent lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Food manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience with USDA / FSIS-regulated environments preferred
  • Welding and fabrication experience preferred
