Maintenance Technician - 2nd & 3rd shift (Chemical Plant)
Job Description
Hire Type: Direct Hire
- 2nd Shift (3:00pm – 11:00pm)
- 3rd Shift (10:00pm to 6:30am)
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems.
- Maintain and repair industrial mixers, blenders, packaging equipment, robotic systems, pumps, valves, and pressure vessels.
- Read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics.
- Install new equipment and modify existing machinery as needed.
- Analyze equipment performance and recommend reliability improvements.
- Order repair parts and work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to prioritize repairs.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, Process Safety Management (PSM), and environmental regulations.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics.
- Working knowledge of PLC hardware and Ladder Logic troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with NEC and NFPA 70E electrical safety standards.
- Experience installing and modifying manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) is a plus.
