Job Summary:
The Electro-Mechanical Technician performs maintenance and repairs of all machines and line equipment and executes related project management duties in a food manufacturing environment.
Job Duties:
- Diagnose, plan, and perform all operations necessary to install, modify, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, rebuild, & dismantle various types of complex manufacturing and support equipment, with special focus on troubleshooting control systems, servo drives, and motors on high-speed packaging lines.
- Diagnose, plan, and perform all operations necessary to install, modify, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, rebuild, & dismantle various types of complex manufacturing and support equipment, with special focus on troubleshooting control systems, servo drives, and motors on high-speed packaging lines.
- Perform preventive maintenance and other proactive activities to monitor and maintain equipment in optimal condition.
- Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic systems, mechanical drive systems. Allen Bradley PLC Systems, RSLinx, process control instrumentation, 3 phase (480V) circuits, motor starters and controls.
- Coordinate with other technicians, production personnel, engineering, management, and other stakeholders to plan and execute maintenance activities.
- Drive achievement of production goals and provide training and coaching to operators and other maintenance associates.
- Maintain safe, clean, and well-organized work areas.
- Comply with all external regulatory requirements (OSHA, FDA, and EPA) and ACH policies, procedures, and standards.
- Assist other maintenance technicians as priorities dictate, time allows, or directed.
- Identify opportunities for maintenance or process improvement and drive improvement recommendations to completion.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in troubleshooting and repair of Pneumatic Control Systems, Allen Bradley PLC Systems, RSLinx, Process Control Instrumentation, 3 phase (480V) Circuits, Motor starters and controls and electronic circuit boards preferred
- 2 + years’ experience working with high paced automation and packaging equipment
- Proficient computer skills (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.) Allen Bradley software
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
- Ability to be self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Ability to work overtime & flexible shifts.
