Job Summary:
- The role involves fabricating and assembling stainless steel structural metal products for the food industry, following mechanical drawings and instructions to ensure high-quality production of machinery components.
Job Duties:
- Execute assigned tasks from Maintenance Supervisors or Managers
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment remains in optimal working condition
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and HVAC/R systems
- Assist in major equipment overhauls and participate in building maintenance tasks
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Adherence to FDA regulations, GMPs, OSHA standards, HACCP, and sanitary procedures
- Be flexible with working hours, including overtime as needed
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Technical certification in HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing repair
- Experience in maintenance roles, preferably within an automated food processing plant
- Knowledge of equipment setup, operating procedures, and preventive maintenance techniques
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) preferred
- Additional skills in refrigeration, plumbing, industrial electrical and mechanical systems, and automated food manufacturing processes advantageous
- Ability to interpret work orders, manuals, and blueprints
- Proficiency in using Excel or other spreadsheet software, and preferably SAP
