Job Summary:
  • The Maintenance Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment in compliance with operation manuals and manufacturer's specifications. They will also be involved in the setup and maintenance of mechanical equipment. Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting is required for this role.

Job Duties:
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on all equipment.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical systems associated with production.
  • Interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Address mechanical issues related to power transmissions, chain and belt drives, cams, bearings, and actuators.
  • Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic controls and components.
  • Disassemble and reassemble gearboxes, clutches, actuators, and other assemblies for equipment repairs.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment such as drill presses, surface grinders, torches, plasma cutters, pipe threaders, brakes, presses, calipers, measuring instruments, and test equipment.
  • Adhere to all company policies, including but not limited to general manufacturing practices and safety regulations.

Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or 3-5 years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical systems.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and mechanical drawings.
  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Familiarity with power transmissions, chain and belt drives, cams, bearings, actuators, pneumatic and hydraulic controls, and components.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues efficiently.
  • Experience in disassembling, repairing, and reassembling mechanical equipment and assemblies.
