Job Summary: 
Must have mechanical knowledge of a Maintenance Mechanic 3 in addition to basic requirements listed. Support the production operation by training operators on equipment, managing PM process and troubleshooting all issues in the plant. Considered an SME in all areas of operation. 
 
Job Duties:
  •  Must be able to troubleshoot all equipment, conduct regular repairs and complete preventative maintenance as required. 
  • Skilled mechanic position requiring knowledge of equipment. Electrical troubleshooting abilities required. 
  • Able to troubleshoot and repair all production equipment both mechanical and electrical
  • Able to troubleshoot advanced PLC’s problems by means of computer software which includes AB RS logics and other plant software    
  • Able to support the direction of maintenance projects which includes new equipment installs and rebuilds
  • Able to demonstrate advanced fabrication skills, sanitary welds   
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of plant production equipment and infrastructure and be able to intelligently communicate issues with OEMs, contractors and other outside vendors
  • Able to troubleshoot and repair HVAC, ammonia (when applicable) and wastewater breakdowns (when applicable)
  • Able to lead maintenance technicians in absence of maintenance lead or supervisor
  • Other duties assigned by maintenance supervisor

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience or must pass standardized test demonstrating skill levelHigh school degree or equivalent
  • Ability to work with all departments
  • Knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Technical or vocational schooling preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to complete tasks independently
