Job Summary:
  • The Maintenance Mechanic performs a variety of repair and maintenance tasks to ensure machinery, equipment, buildings, and facilities operate safely and efficiently. This role involves a broad set of skills including mechanical repair, plumbing, welding, carpentry, fabrication, and basic electrical maintenance.

Job Duties:
  • Install, repair, rebuild, and maintain production machinery and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with machinery and equipment.
  • Make necessary repairs and adjustments to ensure machinery and equipment remain operational.
  • Overhaul and rebuild machinery components by dismantling, inspecting, machining, and replacing parts as needed.
  • Align bearings and shafts, and adjust feed and limit mechanisms to ensure proper machine operation.
  • Assist in the installation, relocation, and setup of machinery and equipment, including leveling and alignment.
  • Conduct general maintenance on buildings, grounds, and facilities.
  • Assist with project planning and determining materials and requirements for upcoming maintenance or installation projects.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance logs and records.
  • Keep the maintenance work area clean and organized and follow established safety procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical repair and general maintenance practices.
  • Either a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least three (3) years of related experience,
  • Or a high school diploma with five (5) to seven (7) years of progressively responsible maintenance experience,
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience that meets or exceeds these standards.
