Job Description
Title: 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician
Location: Forest Park, GA
Pay Rate: $25 -$30/hr
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401K
The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of plant equipment by performing breakdown response, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks. This position requires a collaborative approach, strong technical skills, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards within a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly and effectively to breakdowns and equipment failures on the plant floor.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Perform thorough and safe preventive maintenance on plant equipment.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams, demonstrating a strong willingness to learn and share knowledge.
- Support and ensure compliance with SQF (Safe Quality Food), Lean Manufacturing, RBS (Reliability Based Systems), and MOS (Manufacturing Operating Systems) programs.
- Maintain professionalism in all internal and external communications.
- Utilize the SAP maintenance work order system to manage and track maintenance activities.
- Adapt to working in extreme environmental conditions, including hot and cold temperatures, depending on the season and plant location.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance processes, techniques, and best practices.
- Ability to work effectively in varied environmental conditions (extreme heat or cold).
- Experience with SAP or similar computer-based maintenance work order systems (preferred).
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-focused attitude.
- Commitment to maintaining and supporting safety and quality standards, including SQF, Lean, RBS, and MOS frameworks.
